2 VINTAGE GREEN CABBAGE SALAD OR PASTA BOWLS
Lovely pair of large vintage green cabbage serving bowls, each measuring about 10" wide and 3-1/3" deep. Featuring a soft, wavy top edge, bowls are molded to mimic cabbage leaves, complete with white veins and leaf detail - glaze is heavy and resembles Majolica. I purchased these in the late 1980s and used them for many years on my holiday table.
Condition is very nice with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage -- I've been over the edges of both and other than a few glaze skips/rub from production as shown, I find no damage - there is a tiny flake off the bottom edge of one that does not show unless you turn the bowl upside down and look for it. One is marked "JF 507 MADE IN PORTUGAL" and the other is unmarked - both were purchased originally at Pier One. Think they would be a wonderful addition to any holiday table or Christmas display!
