Clean Marx Prewar O-Gauge 7-Piece Electric Steam Freight Set w/ #897 Locomotive

Nice and clean 7-piece Marx prewar O-gauge electric freight set with an #897 steam loco and a consist of 8-wheel, prewar freight cars with tin wheels and automatic couplers. Includes a NYC wedge tender (sides of frame touched up with black paint which
might
have been done at the factory) #554 NP red and yellow hopper (sides of frame have moderate to heavy crazing and wear, has the insert but no glassine bags full of coal, interior of bin is dirty and has some black marks), very nice #548 milk gondola with load of repro milk cans in a repro insert which is dirty and torn) #552 Groceries gondola (some  crazing and pimpling to the litho on the sides of the car, with some minor flaking on one side and some light war to the inside of the bin), barrel car with 6 instead of 7 barrels (light wear to the deck) and a #556 NYC caboose (light to moderate crazing to the roof, along with a couple of rust spots and roughness to the litho on the roof). All of the car have the springs for the couplers. The loco has the weight added for traction, along with a prewar motor with 3-piece pick-up assembly. Loco is very nice with wear only at the high spots and edges like the front corners of the cab, and along the edges of the sideboards. No crazing on the loco to speak of. The loco, Milk gondola, barrel car and the hopper are all Ex. to low Ex. plus. Caboose is VG to low VG plus due to the roof issues, and the hopper is Ex. to Ex. minus due to the marks inside of the bin. The wheels on the loco motor turn freely and smoothly, and I do not see any broken or damaged gears or cogs. But the motor was not tested and the loco is not guaranteed to run. Nice prewar set overall.

Shipping
: I will ship to Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. But the cost of shipping to those locations will be more than the quoted shipping price and bidders who live there should contact me prior to the end of the auction for a shipping quote. I will always combine shipping if you purchase multiple lots.
Please note that due to COVID my stated handling time for shipping is 5 days after receiving cleared payment from the buyer. However, I try to ship within 3 days of receiving cleared payment and do so most of the time. If for some reason you cannot wait 5 days before your item is shipped, please do not bid on my items.
Returns
: I will gladly refund your money if I make a mistake in describing something. But please make sure you really want the item before you bid. I do not give returns if a buyer simply changes his or her mind, deciding after the fact that they don't want an item.
