Up for auction is a nice example of the
RARE SILVER/RED
Lionel Postwar
#394 ROTATING BEACON
in its
ORIGINAL BOX.
THIS IS THE RARE VARIATION WITH SILVER and RED COLOR COMBINATION
. This is the correct variation with the aluminum silver tower with the red painted steel base. The tabs have never been tampered with and are untouched from the factory.
Very few of these ever come up for sale. Beacon towers in this rare color combination are hard to find in any condition.
There is not much to say about this rare accessory...it is in EXCELLENT PLUS condition with little signs of use, C-7. The colors and graphics are nice with minor contact marks, you will not have to upgrade. The light works and all paint is very nice. The rotating housing is original. The tabs on the base show no signs of tampering, a correct factory assembly, not put together.
The component box is weak and needs to be upgraded (basically a sleeve).
This is a very hard to find beacon in this color. Overall very nice.
