Offering a vintage press photograph showing Mrs William A Moffett, Wife of Rear Admiral William A Moffett. Admiral Moffett was killed in the Dirigible Akron crash but caption describes how Mrs Moffett was holding out hope that her husband had survived. Underwood and Underwood press photograph dated 1933. Incredible piece of history.
Sold as-found and I do not have any additional information on the age or history of this photo
Measures approximately 7" by 10" excluding caption sheet.
Condition: This photo has a small tear on the right edge and some additional light corner and surface wear throughout. Caption sheet has a bend on the back where attached to the photo. Pencil notations on the back. Overall, still a very nice vintage photograph.
