    Description

    This auction is for a highly desirable and rarely seen 1939 Prewar Lionel Manufacturing Publication No. 57 "Building Railroad Trains For Fun" by Gulf Industrial Lubrication in Like New (C8) condition. This 4-page 12" x 9" two-color publication provides rarely seen photographs of Lionel's Irvington factory with descriptions of how Gulf Industrial Lubricants are used in the production of Lionel trains. This Lionel Manufacturing Publication No. 57 was jointly produced by Gulf Industrial Lubrication with artwork and factory photographs provided by the Lionel Corporation. The cover photograph features a 224E locomotive and the back cover features artwork of Lionel's prewar set 767W with 763E locomotive and 2263W tender. Nothing folded, damaged, marked or repaired on this remarkably well preserved publication. Carefully examine the detailed pictures provided to affirm condition and bid accordingly.
