    Description

This auction is for an all original and highly desirable Postwar Lionel Science Series Preview Luncheon Stockholder Packet in Mint (C10) unused condition. This packet represents perhaps one of the most pivotal moments in Lionel history . . . the March 10, 1961 inaugural release of its Science Series program to Shareholders, Board of Directors of the Toy Wholesalers Association, members of the Toy Manufacturers Association and Directors of the Board of Hobby Industry Association. The meeting took place in the Grand Ballroom of New York's Waldorf-Astoria hotel and included the likes of Roy M. Cohn, Chairman of the Board, J.B. Medaris, Lionel President, Isabel Brandaleone, Company Secretary and substantial shareholder, Alan Ginsburg, President of Lionel's Toy & Train Division, Ronald Saypol, Vice President, Joseph Mariamson, Sales Manager, and more. The packet includes the agenda, remarks, sample photographs and other media related items. Please note . . . that packet you are bidding on is in its original sealed envelope; contents have never been removed for inspection. The packet photographed is from my personal collection and is used for inspection purposes only. This extremely rare packet comes from retired Lionel Corporation files and is complete, unused and undamaged.
