Rare Lionel 6464-650 Rio Grande Factory Error (postwar)

Description

For your consideration is a Factory Error on a 6464-650 Rio Grande boxcar.  The Factory Error is the application of a thinner than normal coat of silver paint which
did not cover the yellow body just below the black stripe on one side of the car.
The 1st picture clearly shows the yellow area below the black stripe which should have been covered with silver paint.   Also the roof has
multiple areas where the silver paint did not adequately cover the yellow plastic roof and doors.
Otherwise the condition of the car is very good or better with no chips or cracks or rust.  This is a type 2 mold car which indicates early production run of the Rio Grande boxcar.  It is quite unusual that this car passed through Lionel's quality inspection as cars made in the 1950s usually were free of major defects.  No box.   I am TCA 88-28046.
