    Description

    This auction is for an all original and highly desirable Prewar Lionel 1500 Locoscope in overall Excellent (C7) condition with its original shipping box. Produced in 1939, the 5-3/4'' x 1-1/2'' black plastic locomotive was produced by Sterling Plastics for Lionel and has the word "Lionel" inscribed on both sides of the cab. The locomotive shows minimal signs of wear; nothing cracked, repaired or damaged; piece is slightly bowed. This particular Locoscope differs from the New York Worlds Fair version in that it was available exclusively through Lionel's Model Builder magazine. (See sample photo of advertisement, not included) Carefully examine the detailed pictures provided to affirm condition and bid accordingly.
