Vintage Marx “The Mercury” #6844 O-Gauge Electric Train Set

Vintage Marx “The Mercury” #6844 O-Gauge Electric Train Set.
This is a beautiful red pre-war set by Marx circa 1940.
The engine has a crisp New York Central Liner decal on its nose and a placard on both sides of the cab that reads “THE MERCURY”.
The cars have “NEW YORK CENTRAL” in white block letters on the sides.
The coach has the words “CLEVELAND” below the windows and the observation car has “DETROIT” beneath its windows.
This set has been in a collection for over 50 years so it may require some TLC.
I have no means to test, so I cannot guarantee that it runs.
This engine and cars appear to me to be in Like New condition but please refer to the pictures to determine the condition.

If you happen to purchase multiple items, they may be sent together to save on shipping. In some cases, however, size constraints won’t allow me to combine multiple items when shipping.
