We now introduce the i3 Plus MK2
.
The i3 Plus MK2 includes:
New auto levelling system
No longer do you have to worry about levelling your build plate. The i3 MK2 helps you by measuring the distance between the build surface and the nozzle. Should the build surface for some reason be uneven the software calculates what the right height should be and adjusts the print accordingly.
Resume print
If, for some reason, there should be a loss of power to the printer it will go into pause mode and resume the print when the power is back. This is a great improvement over the old version and it also means that you no longer have to worry about failed prints after a power loss.
Removable print surface
The new improved print surface is attached to the printer with a magnetic surface. This means that you can easily remove the whole print surface and bend it slightly, then the finished print will just pop of without the hassle of using sharp instruments to remove your print.
Improved electronics
All through the printer Wanhao has improved the different components to make the MK2 more stable and reliable to work with.
Enhanced ease-of-use experience
The MK1 was easy to use but the MK2 has taken it one step further. The whole user experience is now very intuitive and easy to use. Everything is presented on the large touch display and even if you never used a printer before, the step-by-step instructions will make handling this printer a breeze.
New MK10 All-Metal direct drive extruder and hot-end.
The i3 Plus MK2 has been fitted with the latest version of the well-known MK10 het-end. This opens new possibilities for you as a user as you are no longer restricted to low-temp materials. The hot-end is now capable of reaching temperatures of 300°C.
SimpliFy3D compatible
SimpliFy3D is one of the most popular slicing software on the market today. Very easy to use but you can also go deeper than ever before to tamper with every setting you can think of. SimpliFy3D gives you freedom to really manage your prints as you like.
When you add these upgrades to the “old” version you have a machine that is very capable of handling most of you needs.
We suggest that you start of with PLA, it´s by far the most user-friendly filament you can find. If you choose SELECT, Value or EasyPrint PLA you don´t have to worry about dangerous fumes or irritating smells. When you are ready you can move on to PETG or even more exotic filaments like wood or metal. For smaller prints you can even use ABS or ABS+.
The MK2 has a large display for easy operation and all the electronics are integrated in the main structure unlike many other printers in this segment that has a separate control box. Having the electronics integrated saves a lot of space. The build volume of 200 x 200 x 180 mm is more than enough for most users. The frame is made of metal which, of course, makes for a very sturdy and stable platform.
